Boba Boba Tea Bar – Xmas 2020 Edition

NEW HOLIDAY DRINKS ⁣📍 @bobabobateabar⁣Edmonton⁣⁣⁣BBTB has come out with new drinks for the holiday season!⁣⁣For those that aren’t familiar, BBTB is a #yeg based business that serves only the freshest handcrafted specialty beverages. Their drinks are also made with FRESH FRUIT, NO PRESERVATIVES, and they also offer DAIRY FREE options as well! ⁣ They’ve kindly #gifted me with a couple drinks to try out from their holiday collection this year. ⁣⁣[$6.50] Ho Ho Ho-jicha – Hojicha flavours combined with creme caramel and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The hojicha and caramel go very well together, and neither one is overpowering one or the other. Of course, I had to jump at the opportunity when their holiday collection had hojicha.⁣⁣[$6.50] Avocado Coconog – This beverage literally tastes like Christmas in a cup. You can taste a hint of the avocado while it is mostly egg nog. The consistency is also creamy and smooth from the avocado, but not overly too creamy and thick that you can’t drink it. For those that like egg nog, I recommend you try this.⁣⁣More from this holiday collection:⁣🧋 Santa Baby⁣🧋 Caramel Arigato⁣🧋 Pandan Caramel Latte⁣🧋 Ferrero In My Heart⁣⁣Get your fix of BBTB delivered straight to your door!⁣⁣To order and for more info:⁣www.bobabobateabar.com⁣⁣#helencaneat Originally published on Instagram on December 7, 2020

Song Tea

@songtea.yeg⁣8025 – 104 Street, Edmonton⁣⁣There’s a new bubble tea shop in town! This worldwide franchise is opening their 232nd store in Edmonton 🎉🎉 They’re officially open this Saturday the 7th!⁣⁣Thank you @foodjoy.canada for inviting me to check out the VIP Pre-Opening event to sample their drinks.  Most of their drinks range between $5-$6. They offer a variety of drinks like milk teas, lattes, cheese teas, as well as fruit teas. ⁣⁣Four drinks I’ve sampled so far is the Brown Sugar with Pearl, Mango and Dragon Fruit Cheese Tea, Matcha Latte, and a Peach and Strawberry Fruit Tea – all were incredibly delicious (not paid to say that😂), and were at the right sugar level at default (imo anyway. I’m not sure if you can adjust sugar/ice levels, forgot to ask).🤣⁣ I’m very impressed by their drinks and think you guys should definitely check them out! Note that they do share the same store front with Hi Tea as well.⁣⁣#helencaneat Originally published on Instagram on November 5, 2020

Boba Boba Tea Bar

@bobabobateabar , Edmonton⁣⁣⁣Another locally owned business in Edmonton! We actually came across this business in June when my hubby figured it’d be a nice way to celebrate our anniversary. 😂 Anyway, I love the variety they offer, and a lot of their drinks can be ordered in a 1L mason jar. Also, if you’re lactose intolerant like I am, you have the option to choose for them to use lactose free milk. Oh and best part of all, they can deliver the drinks straight to your doorstep. Delivery fees depend on your location.⁣ [$6 – $7] ⁣⁣Peach Oolong Lemon – This is pretty refreshing. I went with half sugar, and it was still sweet, but not overly. The topping I chose for this drink was the passionfruit popping boba, which was pretty neat. Basically when you bite into it, the liquid inside gushes out. A great option when ordering a fruit based bubble tea.⁣ Creme de La Creme Brûlée – Just as the title suggests, it tastes just like a creme brûlée! Hubby also thought it tasted better than The Alley’s Deerioca Puff…you can be the judge of that 😜⁣⁣Strawberry Green Tea – This was my go-to drink from DTH back in the day when you couldn’t adjust the sugar levels. Unfortunately, it wasn’t sweetened at all (I could taste the sweetness for the Peach Oolong)…maybe I’ll try to reorder for next time!⁣⁣Brown Sugar Vanilla Mochi – This tasted just like a liquified vanilla ice cream..but in a good way. I don’t think it’d be something I’d reorder again because of the mochi. It wasn’t bad initially, but towards the bottom of the drink, it turns into a mushy dough like texture which kind of ruined it for me.⁣ Brown Sugar Hojicha Latte – I thoroughly enjoyed this drink, and have now found a new love for hojicha. Because brown sugar drinks are already sweet as is, I ordered this with no additional sugar, and it was perfect.⁣⁣Dalgona Matcha Fresh Milk – A reorder from our first order since I enjoyed it so much! I ordered at half sugar, and the slight bitterness of the matcha balances out some of that sweetness. ⁣⁣For more info:⁣www.bobabobateabar.com⁣⁣#helencaneat Originally published on Instagram on August 3, 2020

The Alley in Windermere, Edmonton

@thealley.ca⁣6183 Currents Drive, Edmonton⁣⁣[$6] Royal No.9 Milk Tea with pearls/pudding⁣Self-isolation doesn’t mean you have to miss out on weekly bubble tea fix. Fortunately, The Alley still have their doors open to serve Edmonton while taking safety and health precautions for their staff and customers. This order with pudding is usually my hubby’s go-to, and my second choice when the Deerioca Matcha is sold out…Except this time, I wanted a drink that came in a large and would last a little bit longer😜⁣⁣We typically like to order our drinks, without sugar and ice (where applicable). The pudding is sweet enough as is, and if you choose pearls, little sugar is just right. ⁣⁣P.S. We need to bring the large Deerioca Matcha to Edmonton…just sayin’⁣⁣#helencaneat Originally published on Instagram on May 1, 2020
