@thecaptainsboil⁣2051 98 Street, Edmonton⁣⁣⁣IT’S A FEAST!! 🍤 🦐 ⁣ Would you believe this is my first time having this?⁣⁣We ordered the [$80 Seafood Feast B], which comes with the seafood fried rice (probably my fave of this entire meal), shrimp basket, two regular sides, and one premium side. We chose shrimp and mussels as our meat, added corn and potatoes, and also added 1lb of crawfish separately.⁣⁣I almost never eat seafood dining out; covid or not (I hate peeling and working for my food 😂). The mussels and shrimp were good with the combined seasoning, though I think it was my first time eating crawfish? Kind of disappointed in the amount of meat that’s in it, and next time I would just either go for the mussels and shrimp only. The “guts” in the shrimp tasted waayyy better than the crawfish…Oh, and I basically just ate the shrimp with the shell on…I’m THAT lazy to peel 😅⁣ The corn and potatoes were a nice addition to the meal, and tasted really good with the seasoning as well.⁣⁣I made sure we ordered a meal with the popular fried rice…and lemme tell ya, it was amazing. Probably my favourite part of the entire feast tbh. 🤣🤣⁣⁣This is definitely a very messy meal, but we were able to make two meals out of it, which was nice.⁣⁣Would I normally pay this much to eat here? Nope…The food was good, but I feel like if I spend this much, I rather have sushi 😝⁣⁣This is most likely my last post for 2020. @joeyscanada⁣9238 Ellerslie, Edmonton⁣ [$16.50] Fish & Chips, 3 piece – I’ve had their Fish Tacos at another location before (which are bomb btw), and was blown away by the portion size for their fish and chips (when my parents ordered it). The batter is well fried for a nice crispy crust, but not overly too crispy. I got it for pickup, but others who have gotten it delivered have said the crust stays crusty even during delivery! The actual filets itself is meaty and tender. The fries are also crispy and have a nice bite to it. It comes with coleslaw on the side, but I pretty much disregard it since it was pretty bland and didn’t have much flavour. Their drinks are also made with FRESH FRUIT, NO PRESERVATIVES, and they also offer DAIRY FREE options as well! ⁣ They’ve kindly #gifted me with a couple drinks to try out from their holiday collection this year. ⁣⁣[$6.50] Ho Ho Ho-jicha – Hojicha flavours combined with creme caramel and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The hojicha and caramel go very well together, and neither one is overpowering one or the other. Of course, I had to jump at the opportunity when their holiday collection had hojicha.⁣⁣[$6.50] Avocado Coconog – This beverage literally tastes like Christmas in a cup. You can taste a hint of the avocado while it is mostly egg nog. The consistency is also creamy and smooth from the avocado, but not overly too creamy and thick that you can’t drink it. My sister has been raving about this place for awhile and if you’ve been following, you know I’ve been having an excessive amount the last three weekends. 🤣 Still not sick of it yet. ⁣ [$17.95] Mixed Shawarma Plate – First time trying it, we both ordered the mixed shawarma plate which includes both chicken and beef. I just love the variety of different flavours and textures throughout the meal, and it’s even better that you get some pita bread on the side. You definitely don’t get bored with this meal eating from one side of the “plate” to the other. The onion and garlic is STRONG, but it’s so good. 🤤. Since trying for the first time, I’ve also had the Kafta plate which is amazing too. @daguyeg⁣10408 Jasper Ave, Edmonton⁣⁣⁣Dagu just came out with new drinks for the season and I’m so happy I had the opportunity to try it.⁣ Usually I’m not a fan of trying drinks at a restaurant as it’s not typically their “specialty”, but this restaurant is one of the few exceptions. Of all the drinks I’ve tried so far, I’ve really enjoyed. I love that they have a variety of different drinks to choose from such as milk teas, fruit smoothies, frappes, fruit teas, and the list goes on. ⁣⁣🧋 [$7.99] Cheese Osmanthus Oolong⁣🧋 [$7.99] Cheese Pomegranate ⁣🧋 [$7.99] Cookie Frappe⁣🧋 [$8.49] Creme Brûlée Milk Tea⁣⁣I highly recommend this place. [$6] 2 x GOC – The green onion cake was good. Texture is crispy on the outside, and inside is fluffy. That being said, texture and taste wasn’t much different than what you could make at home using frozen. ⁣⁣[$8] 15 Pork & Vegetable Dumplings – The 🥟dumplings were waaaay smaller than I had expected (like half the size of what a regular potsticker would be). This worldwide franchise is opening their 232nd store in Edmonton 🎉🎉 They’re officially open this Saturday the 7th!⁣⁣Thank you @foodjoy.canada for inviting me to check out the VIP Pre-Opening event to sample their drinks.  Most of their drinks range between $5-$6. They offer a variety of drinks like milk teas, lattes, cheese teas, as well as fruit teas. ⁣⁣Four drinks I’ve sampled so far is the Brown Sugar with Pearl, Mango and Dragon Fruit Cheese Tea, Matcha Latte, and a Peach and Strawberry Fruit Tea – all were incredibly delicious (not paid to say that😂), and were at the right sugar level at default (imo anyway. I’m not sure if you can adjust sugar/ice levels, forgot to ask).🤣⁣ I’m very impressed by their drinks and think you guys should definitely check them out!
